Rudy

Hi my name is Rudy. I am a 2 yr. old white sheppard/yellow lab mix. I am neutered and microchipped. I have tons of energy, and although a walk around the neighbourhood is excercise, I really need more of the mental stimulation. I enjoy trail walks off leash where I am able to explore. I do respond to come on these walks.... well when there isn't something more interesting to check out like people and other dogs. I love to be the centre of attention and always seem to be wherever my primary caregiver is. I guess that makes me pretty loyal!! I love to play ball and frisbee but if I am left with these toys, well ---- oops ----they will be chewed!!! I tend to be hesitant of men at first, but with women/kids I'm cool!! I think I have great potential for the right owner who has the time to work with me and love me. When I am in the trails or excited I tend to jump like a reindeer!!! Hey, maybe I am a future agility dog! So here I am waiting. Won't you come and see me, You will know me.... I will be the one with the tail wagging!!!

Lexi

Lexi needs a home immediately. Her owner is moving very soon and can’t take her. Don’t let her age fool you, she acts like a youngster! She loves people and very affectionate. Please call us if you can provide Lexi with a loving home to spend her twilight years!

Tequila

Tequila is in very dire straights. Her family is moving and unfortunately can’t take her so she needs a home immediately. She is a great girl and will make a wonderful family addition. There are no children in her current home, so a home with older children would be preferred. Being part lab, she loves to retrieve and swim. Spring is just around the corner, so please consider Tequila as your backyard buddy!

Boston

Boston is an extremely cute little guy with his wire coat and fawn markings. He is a fun, well behaved fellow who loves to go for walks. The weather is getting nicer and we all have a little winter weight to get rid off, so please consider Boston as your exercise companion! Give us a call to meet this real cutie! Mya

This adorable Beagle/Sheltie mix puppy, along with her sister, was recently rescued and has just been placed in a foster home.  As the foster home gets to know both of them, we’ll update their information.

Daisy

Daisy is a beautiful little girl with big brown eyes who loves to smother you with sweet doggie kisses. She is shy and timid when she first meets you, but her puppy curiosity gets the better of her eventually and she will seek you out for an ear or tummy rub.She is energetic and playful with Casey and Finnegan, her foster family's dogs and loves their company. She is also very good with their cats. Her foster family has begun puppy training with her which will need to be carried on by her adoptive family. She is currently being crate and leash trained as well as taught basic commands. The ideal family for Daisy would have a large yard for her to run in and take her on lots of walks and for a run at a dog park as she is very energetic.  Daisy can spook easily so a home with older children would be ideal for her. if you think Daisy would be the right fit for your family, don't wait any longer and give us a call to meet this friendly, affectionate girl!

Shady

What’s not to love about this beautiful girl? She is very affectionate and happy black lab and she loves to play ball and go for long walks. Even though she is 3 years old, she runs and plays like a young pup! Give her a scratch behind the ears or a tummy rub, and she will be your friend for life. Her foster mom says even though Shady was the only dog in her previous home, she gets along well with their dogs Casey and Finnegan. She is not sure what to think of their cats, but is very curious. She sleeps at night in her crate and is crated up to 4 hrs. through the day when no one is home. She is being trained to walk with the help of a gentle leader and her foster mom says she is doing exceptionally well on their walks. Maggie

Maggie is a friendly, loving dog. She is good with children, babies and other dogs as she currently lives with an infant and two labs in her foster home. She will give you a hug if invited (puts her paws on your shoulders) and knows such commands as sit, lay down, bed, come, off, wanna go outisde, upstairs, downstairs. Maggie comes with, a large dog bed that she loves to lay on all day!

Mr. Winkles

Mr. Winkles is a quiet little fella. He is very quiet in the house, and gets along famously with other dogs, especially the quieter ones. Mr. Winkles is very friendly and loves people.

Sierra

It is unbelievable that Sierra has still not found her forever home.  She came to us with a broken leg that has healed nicely.  We thought she was going to need surgery on her leg, but it now looks like that will not be necessary.  Sierra is deaf, but with training this is easy to work with.  She has already had some training and is familiar with hand signals for basic commands.  Sierra is a young lab in every way – fun, outgoing and very affectionate.  We feel she would do great in a home with another dog to act as her ears.  Besides, she loves to run and play and would love a doggie companion!  To Sierra her deafness isn’t a handicap; hopefully someone can look past that and give her a chance. 

Jack

Jack was recently rescued from the shelter so information will be updated as his foster mom gets to know him.  This little guy gets along great with other dogs - pretty much ignores them. He LOVES to play fetch! He'll get a toy and drop it at your feet waiting for you to throw it. A lab in terrier's clothing!!!!
This little guy is very quiet and gentle, and is great in his crate.
Jack spooks easily, so he would do best in an adult home or one with older children.

Bingo

Bingo is a poodle mix. He would do best in a home that has previous experience with the breed, and strong leadership.
Bingo would do best in an adult only home, or one where there are older kids only.

Bandit

Bandit is looking for a new home as his owners are no longer able to keep him. He is a typical Dalmatian and is an active senior. Our volunteers who met him were surprised to find out his age, they though he was much younger.   He would love a home without young children where someone is home a lot.   Please consider giving this senior a quiet yet active retirement home.

Mojo

Mojo is a neutered blue doberman. This charming boy is excellent with children of all ages, social with dogs and cats. Mojo loves to play with other dogs, but the best time for him is playing ball... could be a future flyball dog!! Give us a call for more info. Charlie

If you are looking for a dog to jog with or a romp in the yard for a good game of fetch or frizzbee I may be the dog for you!! Since I have slimmed down and lost weight I feel like a puppy again and have lots of energy!! My perfect home would be a yard will lots of room to run, I would love to have doggy brothers and sisters to play with, I don't even mind cats! I love to go for walks and I am very good at listening and know my basic commands. I have been waiting for my forever home for a long time, so please come and meet me, I know you will find me very charming, after all I am a lab!!

Nakita

Nakita is a beautiful senior who is looking for a new home. She is absolutely fantastic; she loves everyone, likes to play with other dogs and loves to cuddle on the couch.. Sadly, however, she has a tumour on her chest. But does this brave girl let that affect her? Not a chance! She is still very active and will be a great addition to any home. We know there is a special guardian for Nakita, who will look past her ailment and provide this gentle soul with the loving home she deserves.

DC

My name is DC and I am a 6 year old Chocolate Labrador and Pitbull mix. I am a very affectionate girl who loves to give wet kisses. I would prefer a home without another dog and I do not like cats. I have more than enough love to give, so you won’t need another pet with me in your life.

Maggie May

My name is Maggie Mae, and I am an affectionate girl who is looking for a forever home! I was rescued from a local animal control facility, while pregnant and was taken great care of during the delivery of my puppies by Rose Reid of Reidell Farms, a Jack Russell Terrier breeder in Ashburn, Ontario. I delivered 7 puppies, which I hear were all successfully adopted through T.A.G.S.!! Although I like to bark at other dogs while on leash, I would love to share a home with another active dog to play with! I just love people, especially when they pay attention to me and let me cuddle with them!

Phoenix

We have just taken Phoenix from the shelter and placed him into a foster home. We are so very grateful that the Oshawa shelter was able to care for him and hold him until a foster home could be found. Phoenix is very happy to be out of the shelter! He’s enjoying his runs in our park, but what he really enjoys is spending time with people. He would be best suited to an adult home or a home with older children.
