There are many ways that you can volunteer with TAGS by being out in our community and interacting with the public.

Do you enjoy working with dogs? Have excellent people skills?
As a volunteer for this position you will need to commit to some Saturdays or Sundays from 11-3 to assist in showcasing our dogs.
As part of a team you will be responsible for set up, dismantling crates, handling and reviewing paperwork, and dealing with dogs as needed. This position requires outgoing
individuals who are comfortable answering questions from the public.
Orientation session will be provided.

TAGS volunteers attend various events in and around our community to help promote our program. Volunteers get to speak with the public about what our program has to offer and about how important the cause of rescue is.

We believe that educating our community is extremely important, so TAGS needs volunteers to support some of our outreach programs such as our “Bite Prevention Awareness” information booth and other community education projects. Through education, it is our hope that more people are able to enjoy the companionship of a good dog, and that more deserving dogs get a chance to live a happy life as part of a family.

Have some fun , come out and support our Bingo Group. It is so satisfying to be able make so much money for the dogs in only a few hours per month. We have a great group of people already volunteering and we would love to have you join us at the Red Barn, Oshawa.
